Seattle Emergency Firewatch LLC is an independent Washington company that does one thing: dispatch certified Fire Watch Officers, any hour of any day, when a building's fire protection is out of service.
Our Mission
When a fire alarm panel faults, a sprinkler valve closes, or a fire marshal writes an order, the building's automatic protection is gone and the code puts a person in its place. Our mission is to make that person the easiest part of the problem: one call to dispatch, a certified Officer walking the property, and a written record that stands up to inspection.
Every Officer we dispatch is trained in fire watch patrol procedures, fire extinguisher operation, occupant notification, and fire department contact. Our log formats are built around what fire marshals actually ask to see — timestamps, areas covered, conditions observed, and a documented return to service — so the compliance file is complete from the first hour of the watch, not assembled after the fact.

A Regional Company Built Around One Service
Fire watch should not be an add-on assigned to someone already handling unrelated duties when a sprinkler system goes down. We built Seattle Emergency Firewatch around the opposite idea. Impairment work is all we do, so everything about the company is shaped by it: how Officers are trained, how dispatch answers at 3 AM, how relief is scheduled so coverage never lapses, and how every patrol is documented.
Our coverage spans King, Pierce, Snohomish, Thurston, Kitsap, and Yakima counties, and each part of that territory answers to a different authority having jurisdiction. The Seattle Fire Department's Fire Marshal's office, the Eastside fire prevention divisions, the Pierce and Snohomish county fire marshals, Lacey Fire District 3, and the Kitsap and Yakima jurisdictions each have their own expectations for impairment notification, patrol frequency, and what an inspectable log looks like. Our coordinators confirm the local expectation before an Officer is assigned, not after an inspector corrects it.
The buildings we protect are as different as the jurisdictions. Our Officers stand watch in occupied apartment communities during riser work, hospital smoke compartments during phased renovation, correctional housing units during detection outages, warehouses with high-piled storage during main replacement, wood-frame construction sites overnight, courthouses during business hours, school campuses over break, and hotels during fire pump repairs.
Dispatch is staffed every hour of the year. In the core Puget Sound service area, Officers are typically on site within one to two hours of an emergency call; for Yakima County, call dispatch for current response times. Planned work — annual testing, riser replacement, panel upgrades, tenant improvement tie-ins — is booked ahead so coverage begins before your contractor closes a valve and continues until the system is restored, tested, and accepted. Logs are delivered at the end of every shift, so you can hand the fire marshal a complete record on request.
