Olympia Fire Department’s Fire Prevention page links a city Fire Watch form with specific instructions. The form calls for the owner to establish and instruct personnel, arrange repairs and notify the department when the system is inoperable and again when restored. The published form distinguishes occupancy types: patrols every 15 minutes for sleeping facilities, institutional occupancies, and occupied assembly or educational occupancies; every 30 minutes for other occupied facilities covered by the form.
